Episode 004: Fall in the Midwest

Date: September 27 2026

What is happening in the Midwest? We went to Metro Detroit to meet up with photographer Devin Terry to talk shop about what is happening creatively and what he looks forward to in his upcoming projects.

Last year, Devin and his Partner Shane Heath from Looking Beyond Entertainment broke into the short film scene with their film Cross My Heart, a horror thriller about a young couple being interrupted by an uninvited guest on their date night. The film did exceptionally well, with comments boasting of its clean put together performance and artistic vision. Let’s just say we are excited for more, and so thankful we are getting to see new stories put on the screen.

Filmmaking is an exciting task! When asking Devin about his next works he mentioned he is deciding between the genres of crime, drama, and thriller.

'What makes you interested in these genres?’

“I am interested in those genres because they are most exciting to me.“

'What do you think you most likely will decide on?’

“I’m not sure what I’ll decide on but I’m leaning toward thriller.“

Terry went on to share his purpose became full circle to him when he went back to his old middle school portfolio assignment and saw he aspires to be a photographer and filmmaker when he grows up. It is spectacular to see you living your word and it is a pleasure to be in your presence, to have this opportunity to meet with you. We look forward to your new work to come and we celebrate you in the now.

Thank you DT Digital!
